I turn 30 today. Here’s where I am.

I’m sitting at a coffeeshop in North Hollywood, eating a cake pop and trying to ignore the vaguely obnoxious Mexican man sitting next to me blasting music on his phone while smiling at people walking by. Three people have asked him to turn his music down now, but he hasn’t. He simply nods at them and turns back to his phone.
