Food accessibility, race, inequities, education, mental health, income and a number of other factors play a large role in this conversation. I am a clinical dietitian and have extensive training in this subject. I work closely with physicians, social workers, and surgeons on a regular basis. Weight loss is not “simple” for many. Hormonal disruptions, gut imbalances, medications, mental health, and any number of factors can impact a person’s ability to intentionally lose weight. I have read your article and enjoyed it!
