First Real Workout In Weeks

I did it! I actually did a real workout! By “real” I mean a workout that I wrote out and completed start to finish, dripping sweat, and feeling really good after.

I lifted weights yesterday, but it was a short workout. Light and challenging because I felt so fatigued.

Today, I went in there with my 10-lb weighted vested and did dumbbell squats, jump squats, pistol squats (modified because I can’t actually do a real pistol squat) and I jogged! 2.5 miles! I don’t feel the best right now — my head hurts. I don’t think I ate enough today, given the workout I did.

But in terms of food, I did a GREAT job. I’m very happy with myself.

For breakfast, I had rice cakes with sunflower seed butter and sliced bananas sprinkled with cinnamon. Lunch was a berry and spinach smoothie with three fresh boiled eggs on the side for protein (sprinkled with salt — yummy). My third meal was seared and baked chicken with spaghetti squash and roasted potatoes. DECADENT. I can’t believe how delicious it was. I was nibbly after so I had a small bag of potato chips.

And now, it’s almost 9 o’clock and I’m FAMISHED. Boyfriend is ordering pizza and he ordered me a gluten-free pizza, no cheese, with sausage and balsamic drizzle. What a sweetie. I wasn’t planning on eating so late, but I’m so hungry I won’t be able to sleep if I don’t eat.

I weigh 164.5 today. I didn’t do a lot of the things I was hoping to do in terms of taking photos of my food, creating excel sheets, etc because I’m getting back into the swing of things. I am going to show myself grace.

But going dairy-free and gluten-free actually isn’t hard if you never go out. So this is probably the only way I would have successfully been able to do this — during quarantine. Which is insane. But there’s silver linings to every sad tale, isn’t there?

Anyways, I blogged. I get to cross this off my list! Yay! Tomorrow I’m hoping I can get productivity started a little earlier. I woke up and ate and then felt so fatigued I had to lie down for a couple of hours. But I increased the amount of glutamine I’m taking, so I think that gave me energy.

Peace and love to all,

S.
